News & Fundraising & Volunteers
The Hair Ball Committee raises funds each year for cancer care, comfort & research for patients of the Hunter New England Region.
A major part of the hospital's fundraising comes from The Hair Ball, the Hunter's Premier Cancer Charity Event which was held this year at The Crowne Plaza in the beautiful Hunter Valley.
This year's Hair Ball once again raised funds for cancer care and research at Calvary Mater Newcastle.
Our corporate sponsors are so very important to this event Domayne Kotara, Channel Ten, Peach Advertising, The Junction Hotel, The Jewellery Affair (The Junction), McGuigan's Family Wines, Fosters Group and Qantaslink provided major support to bring this important charity event to fruition each year.
Guests enjoyed a great line up of celebrity entertainment and a five star dining experience which was enjoyed by all who attended.
Funds raised this year will enable the hospital to buy
